About this service
Are you a state agency?
No. TruckFilings is a private website. Filings are made by insurers to state agencies.
Do you file forms for me?
No. The insurer that issues your policy makes the filing.
Is the request free?
Yes, there is no charge for a filing quote request.
Who will contact me?
A licensed agent or partner who works with state filings may reach you by phone, text or email, as you consented.
My state uses its own form. Can you help?
Describe the requirement on the form. The agent can tell you whether an insurer can make that filing.
Can I get a filing the same day?
It depends on the insurer and the state. Some filings are made electronically and appear quickly; others take longer.
I got a Form K notice. What now?
Contact your agent right away and read the cancellations page for the steps to avoid a lapse.
How do I stop messages?
Send STOP by text, tell the caller to stop, or submit the form on the privacy page.
Filing questions
Do I need a state filing if I have federal authority?
Possibly. Federal authority covers interstate trips. If you also haul within a state that requires intrastate authority, that state may want its own filing.
Is Form E the same as a BMC-91?
No. The BMC-91 is filed with FMCSA for interstate authority. Form E is filed with a state.
Do I need Form H for general freight?
Usually not, but check your state. Some states have requirements for particular operations.
Will the state tell me if my filing is cancelled?
Some states send a notice, but you should not rely on it. Your insurer's cancellation notice is the main warning.
